100% British wool, grown, sheared and spun in Britain and hand-dyed in-house by Susan and her daughter, Charlie, at their Lake District dye studio, "A Room Of My Own".
A DK weight yarn, it is worsted spun for a soft handle, and works exquisitely for Fair Isle projects as well as textured and lace stitches, blocking and holding its shape beautifully. Despite its softness, Excelana is a sturdy yarn that doesn't pill easily.

Recommended gauge between 20 and 22 sts to 10cm (4in) using 3.75-4mm needles.
