The Agatha mitts are inspired by Agatha Christie's books - especially the amateur sleuth and knitter Miss Marple. These fingerless mitts are knitted from the cuff in the round, using a lovely repeating colourwork motif. Thumb stitches are placed on waste yarn whilst the upper hand section is worked. Finally, the thumb is knitted to finish.

Agatha is knitted using [link: Susan Crawford Bluem Sock = /collections/bluem-sock :link], a fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks or for hard wearing mittens.

You can now purchase our hand-dyed yarn kit to create your own pair of Agatha using four 25gm mini-skeins of BLUEM SOCK, one of each of four shades.
