Pattern - Moss Stitch Jumper

[tabblock]
[tab1: The Moss Stitch Jumper is an example of an early twentieth century sweater pattern. The main body and sleeves are knitted in moss stitch, in one piece commencing at the lower back. Crochet panels are worked separately for the lower sleeves and for the mid-panel of the sweater. An additional moss stitch panel is added at the lower edge of the body. Side and sleeve seams are sewn up before ties are made and then thread through the upper join of the crochet panel and through the neckline.

Moss Stitch Jumper is knitted using [link: Susan Crawford Bluem Sock = /collections/bluem-sock :link], a fingering weight yarn, worsted spun with a high twist making it perfect for socks. The Bluefaced Leicester yarn is a soft but resilient fibre and combined with a small amount of nylon, it creates the perfect fabric for socks. The yarn shows off texture, cables and lace to great effect and the fibre combination takes colour beautifully. Shown here in the natural shade [productlink: Buttermilk = bluem-sock-buttermilk :productlink].

Our model Theodora is shown wearing the first size to fit chest 76-81cm (30-32in).

The pattern includes instructions for eight sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 152cm (60in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart. :tab1]
